Founder’s Story
HOW IT STARTED
Hii. I am Heerva. This idea struck me when I saw children on the streets—dressed in torn clothes, faces dull, with no access to basic hygiene or education. Their eyes held so much potential, yet so little opportunity. I couldn’t look away.
For two months, I researched, planned, and asked: How can I bring light into their lives? The answer became Project Nandi, launched on 21st March with a simple goal: to give delight.
To Support. Serve. Uplift.
Too many children in India still face lives marked by poverty, hunger, and a lack of opportunity. Every day, millions of young minds go to bed hungry, attend school without proper notebooks or bags, or simply don’t attend school at all because their families can’t afford basic supplies.
Some wear clothes too small, torn or weather-beaten, stripped of dignity. Others lack hygiene essentials—so often overlooked yet so critical to health and confidence.
Why the Name “Nandi”?
In Sanskrit, “Nandi” means joy. It also refers to the sacred bull that symbolizes strength, service, and steadfastness.
Our Mission
At Project Nandi, we strive to uplift underprivileged children and spread joy among marginalized communities by distributing educational materials, conducting engaging activity classes in government schools, organizing food and cloth drives for the needy—all with the goal of transforming lives, sparking hope, and putting smiles on faces through our 10-month initiative.
